25th Monaco F1 Grand Prix Poster : 1967

7 May 1967. Michael Turner artwork.
The poster depicts the previous years winner Jackie Stewart in a BRM P261 leading second place man Lorenzo Bandini in his Ferrari. Unfortunately in the 1967 race Bandini was killed - he was running second to Denny Hulme on the 82nd lap, when he lost control of his Ferrari at the harbour chicane. The car overturned and caught fire with Bandini trapped underneath. The fire was put out and Bandini rescued and rushed to hospital. Denny Hulme won the 100 lap race in a Brabham-Repco BT20.
